Find a clear view of the sky
Starlink needs an unobstructed view of the sky. Use the Starlink app to check a proposed position before deciding where to mount it. Trees, nearby roofs and other obstacles can interrupt the connection.
Plan the mount and cable route
Tell Finch which kit you have, where it will be used and the type of building. We can assess mounting options and the route into the building. Equipment and mounts vary by kit; confirm compatibility before buying accessories.
Plan indoor coverage and running costs
Consider where you use the internet and whether additional networking is needed for distant rooms or another building. Ask about power backup if continuity matters. Confirm the current Starlink service plan directly with Starlink; subscriptions are separate from Finch installation work.
Before you request a quotation
- Which Starlink kit do you own or plan to buy?
- Where are the rooms and devices that need coverage?
- Does the quote include mounting, cable routing and extra network equipment?
